A visual guide to the novel
The story in The Hand That Deals begins in the scenic town of Newfalls and follows the character of Jonathan as he becomes an apprentice to a master mage named Black Hand. During his apprenticeship, he encounters other apprentices and archmages, grows his power, and grows up! Eventually, he and his friends must make hard choices, and face their consequences.
